Polvoron with Peanuts

Polvoron, (polboron in Cebuano, pulburon in Tagalog) is a classic dessert loved by every Filipino. It is a sweet and crumbly shortbread made of toasted flour, powdered milk, sugar, and butter.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 cup Powdered Milk
  • 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup Roasted Peanut, crushed

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan over medium heat, add flour, toast and stir regularly until light brown.
  2. Allow to cool.
  3. Add powdered milk, brown sugar and crushed peanut. Mix.
  4. Add butter and stir until well-combined.
  5. Shape into cookies, freeze and serve!

Notes

If allergic to peanuts you can easily alter it with pinipig or chocolate chips or leave it and go with the traditional recipe.
